White Sun

Pooja, a little girl, lives with her mother. Her father Agni joined the Maoist guerrillas and left to fight against the regime years ago. The death of Pooja's grandfather brings Agni back. When Agni looks for men to help him with the funeral among the police, rebel guerrillas and neighbouring villages, a portrait of the post-conflict Nepal emerges.

Deepak RAUNIYAR

Deepak Rauniyar's feature debut, Highway, premiered at the 2012 Berlinale. It provoked a tumultuous response in Nepal with its realistic characters and their tabooshrouded issues. White Sun is Rauniyar's second feature.
