The 18^th Golden Horse Awards Ceremony was held outside of Taipei for the first time, at Kaohsiung Cultural Center and hosted by LEE Tao and Josephine SIAO; George CUKOR, Alain DELON and Charles BRONSON were invited to attend the ceremony. There are 96 films in competition.
