FIPRESCI – The International Federation of Film Critics
Aimed to promote film-art and to particularly encourage new and young cinema, FIPRESCI is the international nongovernmental organization. Founded de facto in 1925 by French and Belgian journalists and officially registered on June 6, 1930, FIPRESCI now has members in 60 countries worldwide. FIPRESCI has consolidated its position as an exceptionally authoritative professional organization of very strong influence on the modern international cinematic process. In the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, the FIPRESCI Award will be given to encourage the outstanding new and young Chinese-language cinema.
