Escaping from home, a cleaning lady relocates to Shanghai and is involved in her friend’s plan with an abandoned bus to make money from selling tickets to laboring-class women longing for returning home during Chinese New Year rush, but gradually faces her homesickness when tickets are sold one after one.

TENG Yung-Shing is a veteran Taiwanese director of commercials, active in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China. Following up his debut feature film Love At 7-11, Return Ticket is TENG’s first time directing a Chinese movie and also his second narrative feature. |
