The Draughtsman's Contract

Mr. Neville, a young draftsman, is hired to make 12 landscape illustrations at the estate of Mr. Herbert. Aside from monetary compensation, the arrangement includes a sexual liaison offered to Neville by Mrs. Herbert. But when the murdered body of Mr. Herbert is discovered, mysterious clues found in Neville's drawings point to the identity of the killer.



Peter GREENAWAY
Peter GREENAWAY was born in Newport, Wales in 1942 and was educated in London. On graduating he worked as a fine artist and editor at the British government’s Central Office of Information. He directed numerous short films and documentaries, which came to international attention. In his work he has often collaborated withcomposers such as Philip Glass, John Cage and Michael Nyman.His feature debut The Draughtsman’s Contract signalled his international breakthrough as a director. Alongside his films, he has also created numerous installations and multimedia projects.
