David is discharged from the army after serving for 27 years. He returns to his family and tries to find himself in his new civilian life. He believes that he will find his way in some managerial position in the private sector but has difficulties adapting to the pace of the "new Israel". When a friend suggests working for a company that markets dietary supplements, David sees this as an opportunity to get his foot into the door of the business world and make something of himself. But this decision slowly gets him and his family entangled in the web of dark forces that rule Israel.

Eran Kolirin made his directorial debut feature, The Band's Visit, in 2007. It won eight awards at the Israeli Film Academy and the Cannes Un Certain Regard Jury Coup de Coeur Award. His second feature film, The Exchange, was in competition at Venice 2011. His latest two features, Beyond the Mountains and Hills and Let It Be Morning were respectively selected for Cannes Un Certain Regard 2016 and 2021. |
