Taste of Cherry
The middle-aged Mr Badii goes to on a road trip to commit suicide and tries to convince the people he meets along the way to help him. Eventually an old Turkish taxidermist agrees but guides him a scenic detour instead. The final twist proves Kiarostami's masterful skill at evoking truth, beauty and the shock of reality.

Abbas KIAROSTAMI

Abbas Kiarostami (1940-2016) was an influential Iranian film director, screenwriter, photographer and film producer. An active filmmaker from 1970, Kiarostami had been involved in over forty films. His 1997 film, Taste of Cherry, won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes.
