The Florida Project
Throughout the US, budget motels have become the last refuge for people who are unable to secure a permanent residence. Moonee and her 22-yearold mother Halley live at one such establishment. Halley has lost her job and a new girl the same age as Moonee has moved in at the motel next door - it's going to be an eventful summer.

Sean Baker is an American writer, director, producer, and editor who made his breakthrough in 2012 with his debut feature Starlet. In 2015, his iPhone-shot film Tangerine swept the international film scene. His 35mm film The Florida Project was selected for Cannes Directors' Fortnight 2017, while Red Rocket entered the official competition at Cannes 2021. In 2024, he won the Palme d'Or with Anora. |
