Novitiate tells the story of a young nun Cathleen. With the dawn of the Vatican II era, radical changes take place in the Church. As she progresses to the novitiate stage of training, Cathleen finds her faith repeatedly confronted by the harsh realities and herself struggling with issues of faith, sexuality and recent changes in life of the Church.
