Claudine, of Tutsi descent, is a daughter of a Rwandan ornithologist. After the massacre, in which Claudine's father gets killed, Anna, a Polish ornithologist working in Rwanda, helps her escape to Poland. Traumatised, both women suffer deeply and engage in a complex and intense psychological process of healing and restoration of their daily lives.
