Wild Strawberries

Isak Borg, played by veteran director Victor Sjöström, is a distinguished professor travelling from Stockholm to Lund, where he is to receive an honorary degree. Accompanying him is daughter-in-law Marianne, whose marriage is troubled. A flood of memories, daydreams, and nightmares assails the aging protagonist along the way, forcing him to take stock of his life, confront his shortcomings, and accept his mortality.



Ingmar Bergman

Ernst Ingmar Bergman (14 July 1918 – 30 July 2007) was a Swedish film and theatre director, writer, theatre manager, dramatist and author. He wrote or directed more than 60 films and documentaries for cinematic release and for television, most of which he also wrote. Considered to be among the most accomplished and influential filmmakers of all time, Bergman's renowned works include Smiles of a Summer Night, The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, Persona, Cries and Whispers, Scenes from a Marriage, and Fanny and Alexander.
