Zhang Xu Zhan is a filmmaker and artist known for integrating various media with animation. Coming from a family of traditional paper-crafting artisans, he transforms this heritage into a distinctive visual language. His Compound Eyes of Tropical won Best Animated Short Film at the 59th Golden Horse Awards in 2022. In 2025, Termite Feeding Show was selected for IFFR.
