Glory to the Nominees of the 57th Golden Horse Awards

The 57th Golden Horse Awards Ceremony will be held on schedule on Saturday November 21st. The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee unveils the group photo of its ambitious project “Glory to the Nominees” with the participation of 126 nominees. The realization of this project includes shootings span Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States and South Korea. The most challenging part is the on-site shooting in Taiwan, with 79 nominees attended in person for the group photo together; esteemed cinematographer Joshua LIN takes the huge responsibility of capturing the rare splendid moment.
The Committee also announces the awards presenter for the 57th Golden Horse Awards: Chair of the Festival Ang LEE, Palme d’Or winning director KORE-EDA Hirokazu, President of the Jury Mark LEE Ping-bing, Golden Horse Awards winning actors CHEN Yi-wen, YEO Yann-yann, LEE Sin-je, GWEI Lun-mei, HSIEH Ying-xuan, Vivian HSU, Roy CHIU, Austin LIN, KUO Shu-yau, Bolin CHEN, Bamboo CHEN, TSAI Chen-nan, WU Kang-ren, Nadow LIN, Ken LIN, LIN Mei-hsiu, LIU Kuan-ting, Fandy FAN, Gingle WANG, TANG Shiang-chu and WU Bai. Special guests TSENG Jing-hua, Joanne MISSINGHAM, BAI Run-yin, SHIH Ming-shuai and CHAN Kin-long will also present the movies they participated in.
Amid the unprecedented impact of the pandemic, there are 17 nominees abroad flew to Taiwan and undergo the mandatory quarantine in order to attend the awards ceremony: Mark LEE from Singapore, nominee of Best Leading Actor for Number 1; BAI Ling from the States, nominee of Best Leading Actress for The Abortionist; CHAN Kin-long from Hong Kong and CHONG Keat-aun from Malaysia, both nominees of Best New Director for Hand Rolled Cigarette and The Story of Southern Islet, respectively. Aside from the awards ceremony, they will also attend the post-screening Q&A in the festival, after the quarantine fulfilled.
The 57th Golden Horse Awards Ceremony will be held at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei on November 21st, with live broadcasting on TTV channel; online live streaming exclusively on myVideo.
