2023 FIPRESCI – The International Federation of Film Critics

Aimed to promote film-art and to particularly encourage new and young cinema, FIPRESCI is the international nongovernmental organization. Founded de facto in 1925 by French and Belgian journalists and officially registered on June 6, 1930, FIPRESCI now has members in 60 countries worldwide. FIPRESCI has consolidated its position as an exceptionally authoritative professional organization of very strong influence on the modern international cinematic process. In the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, the FIPRESCI Prize will be given to encourage the outstanding new and young Chinese-language cinema.

Paolo BERTOLIN
Paolo Bertolin is a film programmer, writer and producer. He is a member of the selection committee of Venice International Film Festival. He has worked for several international film festivals and institutions, including Cannes' Directors' Fortnight, Locarno Open Doors, IFFRotterdam, Doha Film Institute, Mumbai Film Festival and Visions du Réel. As a film critic and journalist, he wrote articles for Italian and international publications, including il manifesto, Rivista del Cinematografo, Cineforum, Segnocinema, The Korea Times, Cahiers du cinéma, Positif and Senses of Cinema. He is a member of the European Film Academy and the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Academy.
Kalash Nanda KUMAR
Kalash Nanda Kumar is a filmmaker, critic, and journalist from Malaysia. He studied filmmaking and worked in several major productions before pivoting into journalism. He’s also an alumnus of the Far East Film Festival Critics Campus and the Golden Apricot International Film Festival Critics Workshop. In 2022, he became the first Malaysian member of FIPRESCI and an international voter for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA). Kalash has also participated in various regional and international film festivals as a juror, programmer, and facilitator.
WANG Chun-chi
Wang Chun-chi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Filmmaking at Taipei National University of the Arts. She received her Ph.D. in Critical Studies (now known as Cinema and Media Studies) from the University of Southern California. She previously served as the Director of the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute (2019-2022) and the Chairwoman of both Taiwan Women's Film Association (2018-2022) and Women Make Waves International Film Festival. She has published numerous articles in academic journals as well as book anthologies, including Journal of Chinese Cinemas and Thirty-two New Takes on Taiwan Cinema.
