Tribute to Abbas Kiarostami
8 of Kiarostami's masterpieces will screen at 2016 Golden Horse Film Festival |

In memoriam of late Iranian cinema giant Abbas Kiarostami (1940-2016), Golden Horse Film Festival organizes a tribute section with eight of his film works to honor his grand achievement in cinema.
The tribute includes his first feature THE TRAVELER (1974), the early documentary that summarizes his aesthetics FIRST GRADERS (1984), a daring examination on the format of cinema CLOSE-UP (1990), renowned Koker Trilogy WHERE IS THE FRIEND'S HOME (1987), LIFE GOES ON (1992) and THROUGH THE OLIVE TREES (1992), and Palm d'Or winner title TASTE OF CHERRY (1997) and Grand Special Jury Prize winner at Venice THE WIND WILL CARRY US (1999).
This concise selection of screenings offers cinephiles the chance to review Kiarostami's innovative vision in filmmaking and to celevrate his genuine passion for life and the world.
