Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee announced today that multi-awarded director Ann HUI will lead the jury for The 53rd Golden Horse Awards. Ann HUI received six nods for Best Director at Golden Horse Awards, firstly by her debut feature THE SECRET (Fung Gip); she won the directing awards three times with ORDINARY HEROES (36th), A SIMPLE LIFE (48th) and THE GOLDEN ERA (51st), making her the record keeper in the category along with LI Hsing, Johnnie TO and HOU Hsiao-hsien.

The 53rd Golden Horse Awards Ceremony will take place on November 26 at National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei, while the nominees and Jury will be announced on October 1.

Submission for Live Action Short Film and newly added Animated Short Film opens from June 1 through June 30; submission for Feature Film, Documentary and Animated Feature will begin from July 1 and end on July 31.
